The Macroeconomic Policy Division is responsible for supporting the Minister of Finance in the direction of fiscal policy, in accordance with the Fiscal Responsibility Law (Nº 20.128).

Currently, “the fiscal target of the current administration will be a structural deficit of 3.9% of GDP by the year 2022, starting with a structural deficit of 3.2% of GDP in 2020, and a deficit of 4.7% of GDP for the year 2021”.
